Dentist in Charlotte, North Carolina

Dr. Ann Blaine Coambs

In the words of William Arthur Ward, “A warm smile is the universal language of kindness.” At Imagine Dentistry, we will always welcome you to our office with warm smiles, and work diligently to create a comfortable, positive experience for you every time you visit our practice. As your dentist, my goal is to help you establish optimal dental health and the confident, fantastic smile that you deserve. In addition, if you struggle with headaches or TMJ (jaw joint) pain, I will use my advanced dental training from The Dawson Academy to help assess and treat these problems.

I lived all over the U.S. while growing up, most frequently landing in Nebraska and Texas. I completed college at Rice University and dental school at the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston, TX. Finally, I came to Charlotte to complete my residency training at CMC Hospital. I fell in love with the Queen City during that year, and my husband and I decided to permanently relocate to North Carolina. Awesome decision!

Soon after I opened my dental office in 2012, I earned the prestigious Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry (a.k.a. FAGD designation), signifying my commitment to continuing education. Only 6% of general dentists have earned this honor! I’ve also received a Charlotte Magazine Top Dentists Award 6 years in a row: 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. Outside of the office, I enjoy kickboxing at 9Round, eating good food, hiking in the mountains, and spending time with friends. But most of all, I love spending time with my three wonderful sons, my husband, and my extended family. They are my joy!

TIFFANY

DENTAL HYGIENIST at Imagine Dentistry

I am one of the friendly dental hygienists who you will see for your professional cleaning appointments. My goal for your appointment is to make you feel comfortable and safe. Sometimes that means a quiet appointment with soothing jazz music and some gentle nudges to keep you awake. Others love to watch TV, catch up on life, and share a story or two.

I have been a dental hygienist since 2006, when I graduated from CPCC’s dental hygiene program. With an undergraduate degree in biology and a thirst to teach, I am able to collect the scientific information related to each patient’s situation and package it into a format that can be easily understood and discussed. Go ahead and ask… I’d love to find an answer for you. All of the ladies here want you to leave our office knowing as much about your smile as the “experts.” Learning can be a lot of fun!

I married my adventurous high-school sweetheart, Jeff, in 2000. Our crazy family circus now includes our brilliant son, Freedom, the oldest, and our 2 younger, dramatic daughters, Aine and Siri. With each of the kids being about 12 months apart and all born in March, it brings a whole new meaning to “March Madness!” They keep me hopping and remind me daily of God’s blessings and what matters most in life!

ANGELA G.

TREATMENT COORDINATOR at Imagine Dentistry

Hi, my name is Angela! I began dental assisting school in 2016 and completed my externships in early 2017. I am so excited to be a part of this amazing team. I knew the first time I walked into Imagine Dentistry that this practice was different. These ladies are a family, and they have welcomed me with open arms. I love interacting with our patients and helping guide them through all phases of their treatment to achieve their dental goals.

Outside of Imagine Dentistry, I enjoy spending time with family and crafting. In 2019 I began making Jewelry for friends and family. I have grown that hobby into a small business and had my first retail location open in August of 2022. You may see the ladies of the office wearing my creations. I look forward to seeing you at Imagine Dentistry!

CANDY

FINANCIAL COORDINATOR at Imagine Dentistry

Hello, my name is Candy. I began my dental career in 2000 as an orthodontic assistant in the mountains of Asheville, NC. I started working in general dentistry in 2007, transitioned to the administrative side, and found my niche in the front office. My favorite part of my job is building relationships with patients and families, and hearing their amazing stories from visit to visit! I am so thrilled to be in an office with ladies who all share the same philosophy of exceptional patient care. I look forward to greeting every patient with a friendly smile at the front office and I am excited to answer any questions!

Outside of Dentistry I enjoy walking and training for long distance events. I have three children that I am very proud of and love living close to them in Charlotte. Best of all I love being “Granny”.

ANGELA O.

DENTAL ASSISTANT at Imagine Dentistry

Hello, my name is Angela! I have been a dental assistant here in Charlotte, NC for 20 years. I love to help our patients learn more about their dental health and make sure they are very comfortable during treatment. I truly believe a smile is easy to share, and a smile is contagious in a wonderful way.

When I’m not at Imagine Dentistry, you can find me cheering on my two beautiful daughters as they play field hockey, baking yummy desserts to share, traveling around in our RV, or watching the University of Tennessee football games with my husband. We also have a Boston Terrier and 2 guinea pigs that round out our family. I’m looking forward to getting to know all of our patients and I hope to meet you soon!

TAYLOR

DENTAL ASSISTANT at Imagine Dentistry

Hello! My name is Taylor and I am one of the dental assistants here at Imagine Dentistry. I have been an assistant for more than two years and have loved every minute of it. I went to Charlotte Dental Assistant school, where I never knew I’d enjoy learning as much as I did. My goal is to make every single patient feel welcomed, safe, and understood. But I also try to make the ‘not so fun’ trips to the dental office a little more pleasant than planned!

When I’m not in the office you can catch me at a drag racing strip with my boyfriend, or spending time outside with my pet cow, Gabby! . I was born and raised right here in North Carolina. I love the outdoors, going for adventures with my other half, and documenting my life through photos! I also love listening to true crime podcasts and cuddling with my dogs.

I hope to see you here soon!

Patient Testimonials

Beautiful Stories from patients at at Imagine Dentistry at the Arboretum

I was greeted immediately even though the receptionist was taking a call. Once the call was over she stood right up and shook my hand. Very friendly, personable, and comforting environment. High tech facility, made me feel confident in their capabilities. They made recommendations that made sense and explained everything thoroughly. Thrilled I’ve found them

Elizabeth T.

I have severe dental office phobia, but between the front desk staff, the hygienist (Tiffany) making me laugh by telling me stories about her kids & Dr. Coambs “chairside manner”, I sailed right through!

Octavia C.

It is always a wonderful experience at Imagine Dentistry. All the staff is so pleasant and do a great job! We are so thankful to have Dr. Coambs and the entire staff taking care of our dental needs. We can highly recommend them!

Gregg J.

Dr. Coambs and her staff are absolutely top notch. They make you feel like part of the family. The take the time to explain all the options and what the best outcome will be for you. They are by far the best dentist office I’ve ever worked with, I’ve been going to the dentist since I was 8 and broke an adult tooth. I’ve never felt more appreciated or important than I do when I go to their office. Dr. Coambs you ROCK!
