Dr. Coambs evaluates the healed implant site, takes precise measurements using the iTero Lumina scanner, and works with an excellent American dental lab to fabricate a custom restoration that fits your bite, matches the color of your surrounding teeth, and is built to hold up to the demands of daily use. Types of Implant Restorations

The right type of restoration depends on how many teeth are being replaced and where they are located in your mouth. Dr. Coambs takes a personalized approach to each case, evaluating your specific needs before making any recommendations.

Single-Tooth Crowns

For patients replacing one missing tooth, a single implant and abutment-supported crown is the most common restoration. The abutment is the custom connector piece between the implant (below the gumline) and the crown (above the gumline). The porcelain crown is custom-fabricated to blend seamlessly with the teeth around it, and once placed, it functions just like a natural tooth. You brush and care for it the same way — no special maintenance required.

Implant-Supported Bridges

When two or more adjacent teeth are missing, an implant-supported bridge may be the right option. Rather than relying on neighboring natural teeth for support, the way a traditional bridge does, an implant-supported bridge is anchored by 2 implants on either side, preserving the integrity of your remaining teeth and providing a much more stable foundation.

Full-Arch and Multi-Tooth Restorations
